Established in 1906, and trading from our current, purpose-built premises c.1920, Biddiscombes has been part of Bridgwater’s changing history, now the longest continually running business in the town.
We have moved with the times, but our core values remain the same-Quality, Service & Value.
Originally a Furniture, Drapers & Tailors, we now specialize in Carpets & Flooring, Beds, & Furniture.
Carpets & Flooring make up approximately 50% of our business. We have our own team of employed fitters, with over 50 years of experience combined! Additionally, our experienced sales staff can advise you on the most appropriate carpet or flooring for your needs and budget.
Our prices are always competitive, and our measuring and quotation service is free! Our fitters will also move and replace your furniture, and lift and remove your old floorcoverings – making your next carpet installation as smooth & stress-free as possible!
Our level of customer service is second to none, along with our aftersales service – in that respect alone, we are old fashioned!
The recently re-vamped Carpet showroom also has a large selection of Rugs on display, all available from stock.
Our Bed showroom has over 30 beds & mattresses on display. We keep good stocks of popular models, and the majority of our beds and mattresses can be ordered and delivered to you in less than 2 weeks! We can remove and dispose of your old beds and furniture, we
now send all of our old mattresses away for recycling. The vast majority of our Beds & Mattresses will come with a minimum 5 Years Warranty.
Our ever popular semi-fitted Bedroom Furniture can be seen in our showroom displays, with wardrobes available from stock, representing excellent value for money. And of course, local delivery is free, with all installation costs included in the ticket price!
Over 90% of our Upholstery ranges are British made, from manufacturers we know and trust. With over 10 suites on display, with a wide selection of Fireside and Occasional chairs, you are sure to find the sofa, suite or chair you are looking for!
We have long specialized in supplying ex.vat Lift & Rise Powered Recliner Chairs, along with ex.vat Adjustable Beds. All of these are available from stock for immediate delivery.
